Earlier this week I spent a couple of hours at Enys Gardens in Penryn, near Falmouth, with a family friend from years ago. Looking at this beautiful carpet of bluebells was wonderfully soothing for my soul.

Cold hands, warm heart? That's all well and good but now the temperature has dropped we just want warm mitts and feet! Reflexology is brilliant for the circulation and at the end of a treatment, feet and toes are warm and even in colour.

I had the luxury of spending a month away on holiday this summer...great fun and a lovely break from normal life. Now I'm back in Falmouth, a little more freckly, and a little softer around the edges – thanks cheese, bread and wine...not complaining!

Why not break with the beer and chocolate tradition, and treat the dad in your life to some reflexology this Father's Day? Reflexology is a lovely way for pa/daddy/pops/the old man to put his feet up, relax and have a bit of TLC.

It's May and it’s exams time! In the last week I've treated an 11 year old in the run up to their SATs, an 18 year old just about to start their A Levels, a Falmouth Uni student finishing up their second year, and someone in the midst of professional exams.

I as much as I love the festivities, today I reached my festive nadir. I didn’t go into full-on meltdown mode but as I pushed my trolley around the supermarket in a weary daze I definitely recognised that low-point feeling of running on empty.

I've always treated pregnant ladies, and their babies too, even back when I was training as a reflexologist. It's an area of my work that I love as reflexology can bring so many benefits during pregnancy, and post-natally.

When I tell people that I'm a reflexologist, this is something I hear a lot! People like the idea of having a treatment but if they have ticklish feet, they think it's not for them. But given a quick chance to prove them wrong and I jump at the opportunity!

Cliché alert…I remember my first day at university as if it was yesterday, although scarily I’ve just realised it was actually 25 years ago! Sunny autumn days always take me back to a time when I was fizzing with nervous energy and excitement.

A reflexology treatment is a fantastic way to enable you stop, hit the pause button and rest. I’ve talked about the importance of sleep before but making time to take a rest is just as important, and it's much easier to do than you might think!

Tootsies, plates of meat, trotters (eew, I really don't like that one!)...whatever you call your feet and toes it's that time of year when they start emerging from hibernation and come out for the whole world to see.

I had a great time running the sunny Falmouth half marathon on Sunday. I met a lovely bunch of fellow runners, the supporters were fab, and the route was beautiful – so pretty in fact that is was, thankfully, quite distracting!

The marathon training season is now in full swing and as a reflexologist and runner (Falmouth half marathon in six days…eek!), I’m totally sold on how good reflexology can be for those of us who regularly pound the pavements, train off-road, or hit the gym treadmill.
